1974 Heitz - Hedonist's Gazette April 2007: The 1974 Heitz Marthas Vineyard remains at the top of its game. It offers its tell-tale eucalyptus/mint perfume and much more in its spectacular nose, thick, layered flavors, totally integrated tannins, and incredible length. It still bothers me that I thought the wine was too expensive when it came on the market in 1979 at $25. It should drink well for another 20+ years.
